Kagool is expanding in Saudi Arabia, adding our data transformation and Azure AI expertise to the many tech innovations happening in this fast-growing region.

To kickstart our expansion, we were invited to LEAP 2023, as a VIP demo partner for Microsoft, on 6-9 February 2023 in Saudi Arabia. This was the second edition of LEAP, an epic event for the global AI community, all about tapping into the limitless potential of tech to build a positive future.

Kagool could not pass on this opportunity to be a part of the 100,000+ tech innovators and leading experts coming together to connect and explore new ideas. With 172,000 visits, LEAP become the largest ever tech event in history, and the accelerating progress in cutting-edge technologies could not be clearer.

LEAP addressed pressing issues including the climate emergency, sustainable development, the global health crisis, equality, inclusion, belonging and diversity, all within the bounds of technology. All kinds of people attended, from footballers turned tech enthusiasts to investors with multi-million dollar portfolios. It was featured in WIRED, Bloomberg, and Eye of Riyadah, and our demo’s appearance was even featured in Forbes Middle East’s social media!

Kagool’s involvement at LEAP as a VIP partner with Microsoft was a tremendous success. Microsoft gifted us an award to recognise our efforts in supporting the Microsoft hub with our AI and Digital Twins demo.

We could not be prouder of our team who made this all happen, including those who supported from the backend, as well as the team who attended the event.

Saudi’s Vision 2030 goals

The LEAP event has driven home just how much the region is hungry for growth, and its place at the forefront of technology to make that happen.

With our tech expertise and experience, we can be a key part of the drive to achieve the kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, including enhancing the Saudi private sector to create a vibrant society, establishing a thriving economy via diversification, and investing in ways to position Saudi Arabia for global trade and competition.

We are excited to be sharing our modern intelligent data platform and AI methodologies with such an ambitious economy, showing specific use cases for industries including oil and gas, retail, and tourism.

The Kagool Team: Data & AI experts 

From the Kagool team, we sent Mo Fayez (MEA MD), Toufic El-Eid (GCC Sales Director), Sarg Senthil (IoT Solutions & Mixed Reality Lead), Daniel Lamchahhem Amaro (Data & AI Solutions Specialist) and Sulieman Alramahi (Data and AI Technical Solutions Specialist).

The relevance of the team’s expertise in data, AI, and IoT for Saudi Arabia definitely came through in discussions with all sorts of visitors, including some very high-profile guests.

Our demo, showcased on Microsoft’s exhibition stand, attracted important figures including Ahmed Al Khateeb, the Minister of Tourism, Bandar Al Khorayef, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and agents of the Digital Government Authority.

As tourism is at the heart of accomplishing much of Saudi’s Vision 2030 goals, Kagool’s demo focused on a Data & AI use case that enables tourists to discover the City of Diriyah in Saudi. We were proud to receive such positive feedback on this demo, and excited to see it was even featured in Forbes Middle East’s social media.

We are extremely honoured to not only have been invited as a VIP demo partner to the most visited tech event in the world, we have also been gifted this award by Microsoft for all of our contributions to the Microsoft hub at LEAP.

What’s next for the Kagool team in Saudi?


This has been a fantastic opportunity for us and the region. It has been a pleasure meeting everyone including the digital government authority of Saudi, and launching Kagool in the Kingdom. We are looking forward to supporting Saudi Arabia in achieving their 2030 vision.

Kagool is excited to be investing heavily in the Saudi region. With plans to open an office, bring on new hires, and start taking on new customers in the region, we are excited to become a part of the Kingdom’s tech economy and Vision 2030 goals.
