Data Migration

As SAP Data experts, we are commonly asked to review and recover failed Data Migration workstreams, which have caused large SAP programmes to delay cutovers. In many instances these workstream issues were entirely avoidable with risks clear throughout the projects, but were not understood by the leadership, so have come as a last minute surprise to the programme.

In 2019, unfortunately Kagool was asked to remediate double-digit figures for SAP programmes requiring Data Workstream rescue & recovery.

Failed Data Migration workstreams traditionally reveal themselves very late in the delivery cycle, normally days or weeks before cutover. This is an expensive discovery as it invariably results in a programme delay costing millions.​

Unlike other SIs we manage data migration as a full end-to-end process from Extract to Load reconciliation. We can even lead the cleansing and enrichment tasks, making the workstream more transparent and predictable with fewer surprises.​

Over the years we have developed a product, Pulse, which helps large programmes automate the complex workstream. This removes the need for spreadsheets flying about, and provides real-time metrics on the delivery.​​
